Mike's Spot On The Wall

• A Good Excuse:
  I didn't post on Friday (I try to blog twice a week) but I had a good reason. I worked rather hard on Friday to finish up my in box and get my church's web site updated so that I could have more time with Carol. Not only did we have some extra time together Friday night but we had a "date day" on Saturday that included the zoo and several garage sales. I love spending time with her and its good for her to know that after 17 years (since we started dating) that I'm still very much in love with her.

Mike's Walk

• Camel Abuse:
  I interviewed Joe Camel about the problem of camel abuse.
  
• Joe:
  "There's been a lot of mention of Camel's here lately and it's just plain abuse I tell ya. We caemel's have always been missused. I tell ya it goes all the way back to Leviticus when God told Moses we were unclean. Common, have you ever seen a dirty camel? And then God tells Samuel to tell Saul to smite the Amelek including ox, sheep, camel and ass. Common now, what did we do? It gets worse I tell ya, Jerimiah made out that camel's are devious. And it gets even worse. We get worn, threaded through needles, and finally swallowed. It's abuse I'm tellin' ya, plain abuse."
So what am I saying here? Well the corollary verse is the one about specs and logs. There are worse evils in the world than spam. Maybe we should have more rants on what the enemy is doing in places like Rowanda or China, or about disease and hunger. We have no righteousness in ourselves and our human anger does not achieve God's righteous purpose (James 1:20).
