King Creek is by no means an official trail, you have to cross the creek on longs placed by previous hikers, cling to a rock face and hunt for the best crossing. I think this is what makes this trail so popular. Kim and I found that having hiking poles made it much easier. It'a only 3 KM in, but with some side climbs, pictures and a break for lunch we spent almost five hours there.
