Goat Creek Sat June 2nd

Going to do Goat Creek the first Saturday in June. Here's the official trail description:
Goat Creek and Spray River: 19 km one way, elevation gain 360 m (1180 ft) (map)
Trackset Trailhead: Goat Creek trailhead 8 km south of Canmore on the Smith-Dorrien/Spray Trail or Banff Springs Hotel. Description: An easy gradient with lots of river views and plenty of wildlife tracks to test your identification skills. It’s a downhill run from the Goat Creek trailhead if you can arrange transportation.
Plan is to meet at the Alberta tourism centre at the North West End of Canmore for 9 am. The Tourism Center is just south east of the last Canmore exit off the Trans Canada. We'll then head up to the trail head and hope to be on the trail by 10:15. The ride into Banff is 19 km and will take a couple of hours. We stop, talk, take picutres etc. We'll then head back to Canmore via the highway and that's 25km, that will take about an hour and a half. We may break into two groups with hard core folks talking the Rundel Trail back to the Canmore Nordic Center.

We should be back in Canmore by 3 or 4 pm. We'll then dispatch the drivers to get the cars from the trail head and then head out for a bite to eat before heading back into Calgary.

Please let me know if you're coming, need a ride or can offer a ride. I need to know the capacity of vehicles for people and bikes so we can plan leaving a car at the tourism center.

BTW you can view previous Goat Creek Pics.

- Peace
