Mike Warnke is coming to Calgary next week. In his bio he claims to have been a "satanist high priest". I wish people would do more research. They realy should read The Cornerstone series on Mike Warnke. Nuff said.
I can't believe he's still claiming all that stuff.
I did a radio interview with him over the phone before he came to Perth many, many years ago. After the show I met him and he told me that he remembered me and said that it was a great interview.
Later, when I heard that a lot of his stories were untrue I started to wonder if my interview was so great after all. :)
It just makes me sad. I want to be a hero of the faith too, but I know I'm going to stand before Him so there's really no point embellishing the truth good or bad. I'm glad there's lots of grace to cover.
I am also distressed to see there are people who believe Warnke's stories. Somehow the word needs to get out more clearly that he is above all, a master storyteller. I thought most were already aware of this fact.

I'm another one who's surprised this guy is still making money doing this. And looking at his bio, I'm also surprised by his ... hair?
It just makes me sad.

What I don't understand is why he doesn't just write fiction. The SpiderMan franchise has done very well without pretending to be real.
