So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.It just struck me as the exact opposite of the prosperity gospel, weather in the form of Supply Side Jesus, Wayne Dyer or more recently with the Oprah crowd: The Secret. Suffering according to the will of our faithful Creator, a deep heresy to many.

Have you run into anything in the Bible which addresses the almost as popular but opposite belief that those who are rich and prosperous must have done something sinful to get that way?
Other than the the many verses against envy no. Though in both cases I think it's people simplifying success good/evil or suffering good/evil, neither of witch is consistent with the stories of the Bible. Suffering in accordance with the will of God, is all about loving your enemies, over coming evil with good. So it's deeper than suffering bad/good.
