JJ Abrams creator of Lost and Alias has a new show Fringe. After seeing the first episode I'd say it's his take on the X Files. Looks like it could be good, but I couldn't help notice how much his new evil corp Massive Dynamic resembles the Lost evil corp The Hanso Foundation.
Summer Glau also seems to be repeating herself, in Firefly she played a brilliant, innocent girl who was turned into a killing machine. In Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles she plays a killing machine that impersonates an innocent girl. Loved her in Firefly, and she does a good job in the new Terminator, but I can't help but feel I've seen her do this before.

I checked it out last night for the first time. The music sounded exactly like Lost at times, and the storyline about a guy who saw future events and drew them as if in a trance sounds sort of familiar. You would think they could have found an idea for the second episode that wasn't so close to Heroes. That crotchety, self-medicated but brilliant doctor/professor seemed sort of familiar too. Oh, and the acting was pretty bad: DON'T TRY TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT!
As much as I love sci-fi mystery-type shows I doubt I'll go out of my way to watch that again.
