After a week of being sick with a nasty cold, I was able to ride this weekend. Passed the 3800 KM mark today. I have just under 400 KM to do in December. On Dec 20th I'm planing an >42 and <38 party. To make that happen I need to average about 20 KM a day for almost three weeks. Will let you know how it goes.

"Blokus is an abstract strategy board game for two to four players" - Wikipedia. Played it last night with eight players, two players per colour with no table talk allowed. It got quite intense and was quite the hit. We played two rounds.

URLs Should Be Forever

I know link rot is almost as old as the web. Still cool urls don't change! Now the web will always have new users, and people who just don't get it, so link rot is here to stay. However I just wrote some code for Who Reads What to update the image URLs because Amazon decided to change them for no known reason. Amazon is neither new to the web and has long been a great example of a company who get's the web. So I'm at a loss as to why they decided to change a bunch of image URLs. sigh. Code is in place and the WRW is looking more like its self again.

Learning From Teaching

While teaching my photography students to use AutoStitch to create Panoramas and they came up with some wonderful effects by not quite getting the idea. The idea was to create an image like the the one with the boy arguing with him self on the couch, where they are in both shots and the shots are combined using AutoStitch. However what we found was if the two pictures overlapped the part where they were posing the software would blend the two images creating a ghost effect.

The nice thing about hitting 3700 KM in Nov is knowing I don't have to do over 500 KM in Dec as I have the last two years.

Hit 3600 KM just as I was arriving at Nellie's for Breakfast with Dan. Met Dan via Resonate, he's the worship pastor for River Park Church. River Park is hosting the Marda Loop Justice Film Festival this weekend. Plan is to take in a couple of films after getting in some more KM today.

Missed this when it made the rounds on the net the first time. This was a big hit in our cube farm yesterday. We're all married guys but we can relate. The song is by Jonathan Coulton.
