First Mosquito Swallowed

Must be summer, it's quater to nine and it's 24°C (75°F) out side and I swallowed my fist mosquito for 2006 on the ride home.

    I love the Canadian spelling for mosquito! :)

    Today I saw a couple of box elder bugs going at it. I think they were mating. It must be spring!

    Speaking of bugs, we've got these big, fat, brown beetles that swarm around our screen door at night. This is my first summer in southern albert and I don't know what the heck they are. Any guesses?

    Nope, no idea. Wouldn't suprise me to hear the MH gets a whole set of bugs we never see in Calgary. I think there's a big elevation drop and you guys are way warmer than we are.
